Poem about healing, overcoming heartbreak poem, letting go of pain,
 |
| Christian poem about joy |
"If you have spent months or even years wasting valuable tears over situations you cannot change, this poem about healing and letting go is for you. We all experience seasons of deep heartbreak, money struggles, or relationship pain. But there comes a day when God calls us out of survival mode and into emotional freedom. Read this encouraging poem, 'Long Enough,' and let it be your reminder that it is time to dry your eyes and step into your season of joy." 🌹
I wasted so many years
😭crying these very sad tears.
The pain seemed so unbearable at the time.
I thought it would never end.
The wounds were so deep.
But I’ve cried long enough,
and now it’s time to dry my eyes.
I’ve cried long enough
that sometimes, when I want
to just have a good cry,
the tears are gone
already cried out.
Crying. 😭
Cry. 😢
Cries. 😿
Cried. 😭
Different variations of the same word,
but they all lead to tears
flowing down my face.
It’s time to be happy,
to be free from all my fears.
No more sad tears
from heartbreak and pain.
I’ve cried long enough
for a lifetime.
My new cry is that of
happiness and peace,
love and joy,
fulfillment,
ecstasy.
And when the time comes
to cry those sad tears again,
let it be because I am grieving,
because I am hurting
not because I’m pouring my tears
into situations I can change.
Money issues.
Housing.
Body weight.
Relationship status.
And any other issue
that does not deserve
years of my tears.
No more years spent
wasting valuable tears.
No more sad tears!
I’ve cried long enough.
It’s been long enough!
"Are you ready to stop crying sad tears and start crying tears of happiness and peace? Letting go of old pain isn't easy, but you have carried that weight long enough."
Devotional Reflection: Turning Your Tears into Joy
There is a profound difference between the tears of necessary grieving and the tears of perpetual staying. As Ecclesiastes reminds us, there is a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. But so often, we find ourselves trapped in a cycle of crying over the exact same things; money issues, housing stress, or relationship statuses pouring our vital energy into situations that require our action or our surrender, rather than our endless sorrow.
Wasting valuable tears on what we cannot control, or what we refuse to change, keeps us bound to a survival mindset. God does not desire for you to live stuck in a perpetual state of heartbreak. He is a God of restoration, and He stands ready to trade your spirit of heaviness for a garment of praise. When you decide that you have cried long enough, you aren't minimizing your past pain; you are simply maximizing your faith in God's future for you.
Today, let the tears stop flowing down your face as a symbol of defeat. Lift your eyes to the One who numbers every drop you've shed. It is time to dry your eyes, step away from the fears that hold you captive, and welcome a new cry, one of happiness, peace, love, and fulfillment. The season of weeping is over; your season of joy is allowed to begin.
